Is placing a firm object behind my back good or bad for my posture?

I feel as if when im sitting upright in bed i slouch into the pillow so would placing a long firm book behind my back in between me and the pillow be good or bad for my posture?

As long as it allow for a straighter spine I don't see why it would be harmful in any way, however I'd like to know the book you used(because I can't think of a book long enough to cover up to the bottom of your shoulder blades.
