Can i get a tax refund if i was in prison
I would think you could. Let's say you had a job for the first six months of the year and had income. You would have to file taxes and if you paid too much in taxes, you would be entitled to a refund.
Why would someone in prison be entitled to a tax refund? They should have to pay back the money it cost taxpayers to keep them during their incarceration. (medical care, food, housing, attorney fees, appeals, etc.)
