Christians are polytheists (many gods) that believe, among other things, that satan is just slightly less powerful than their main god. They won't admit that of course, but there's no other way for them to address your question. If satan is not as powerful as god then god could put a stop to all the evil things that occur. They will bandy about this "freewill" idea they seem to like, but that doesn't explain the death of children, disasters, incurable diseases, etc. etc. I think it's easy to determine the truth, but then again I shrugged off dogmatic indoctrination long ago and returned to our atheist roots.
Because god created the heavens and the earth and he gave his only son to takeaway are sin but no man/woman is perfect so sin helps use learn from are mistakes so we can see gods love for use and god doesn't cause sin Satan does. Right on @kfroutio.

There is no god he was made up as a way to control people and make people think there is consequences for doing wrong when your dead. it was almost used to make people fear doing bad. yet these days no one really cares
The unbeliever who asks that question is usually feeling resentment toward and rebellion against God, not just lacking evidence for his existence. C. S. Lewis recalls that as an atheist he "did not believe God existed. I was also very angry with him for not existing. I was also angry with him for having created the world."

http://www.jw.org/en/publications/magazines/wp20130901/ that's a very goodquestion!many things are the cause of what happens today like effects of bad government, influence on false religions, human imperfection and fleshy desires. We are also living in the last days.but soon the suffering will end! The rule of good government by jehovahs son Jesus. There will be no more false religion, human imperfection will be no more! Will live in a peaceful new world that will be perfect! Their is a link to a great website the explains more!
God created us....Christ saved us for a reason....we all go to heaven....Demons are here on Earth to cause pain...our faith will save us....choices are made...when we die it is we belong to our Father and he chooses to bring us to him...we, here on Earth, have a chance to grow closer to him with our loss... stay in prayer...muah

In the developed world at least, life has never been better! And this is all AFTER belief in god was finally relegated to its secondary (or tertiary) status it enjoys now. (Or...what's the term for 12th place?) Some degree of atheism was necessary to bring our species out of the evolutionary muck and mire. It just so happens that as atheism increases in societies, so too does the overall level of wellbeing.
Bad things still happen. But at least there's no god sitting back, letting it all happen. That would be worse.
Because of us. Human free will. We choose it. Humanity had perfection and blew it by choosing satan and when we chose to allow satan into our perfect world evil and all it entails came with it. Since that time humans have, in general, continued to choose satans ways over God. And since free will is for everyone or no one God allows us our choices and the natural consequences thereof.
right doesnt make much sense. if hes an all powerful being then he should be able to stop it but he doesn't. but were here. we shouldnt need to rely on god for anything, the thought of him isn't doing much good. sure you can give him credit for miracles but theres always a logical explanation for those. if we want something done we need to do it ourselves. no more god.
If there is a god, then with all the sin in the world, in order for him to exist, he must be a deist god. This means that he has no interference in the world. There is no way this god can be a theist god because this god, if he indeed exists, does not take any action when it comes to those he claims to love.
From the beginning of time instead of man listening to God man chose to follow his own footstep which always turn out to be a disaster. Yes, we can go back to free-will but it much bigger then that - when Satan challenge God Sovereignty and for those that believed that God did not reign in a fair and just matter - followed behind Satan. (Revelation 12:9)
In response to the challenge - Jehovah have allowed and is allowing mankind to rule themselves which they are failing at miserably ( 1 John 519). They have tried every form of government possible = and failed (Jeremiah 10:23).
Almighty God, Jehovah WILL NOT continue to put up with the ugliness and hate-filled world that we are living in - he has his appointed time in which he will take action against this very wicked system of things. -----Habakkuk 2:3 - "Even if it should delay, keep in expectation of it; for it will without fail come true. It ill not be late."
There is so much pain and suffering in the world because of the original sin. When Adam and Eve took the cursed fruit from the tree of knowledge of life and death. God's plan for humans before this was for us to live in a utopia. In perfect harmony, to never sin, and to be his chosen people. But when Adam and Eve sinned, that came crashing down. Because of the original sin, God put death in the world. Everything happens for a reason. I am only 16 years old, so I still don't know much about the catholic faith, but I know that God puts obstacles in our way because he wants us to come to him in those moments when we feel despaired. When you are feeling like giving up, he wants you to go to him and ask him for strength. He puts suffering in the world, so we can go to him and see the light within him. You just have to believe that there is a higher power- way more complex than our human minds can comprehend. And He is doing things for a reason. He isn't just playing with us for the heck of it; he wants us to feel alone so we go to him.
In the Bible, God tells us how we can avoid much suffering. He has provided the very best counsel on living. When applied, this fills our lives with meaning, results in happy family life, brings us to close association with people who really love one another, and safeguards us against practices that can bring much needless physical suffering. If we ignore the Bible's help, is it fair to blame God for the trouble that we bring upon ourselves and others?
Did you know that the Bible also tells us that God will make provision to end all suffering? Read the scriptures at Psalm 37:10, 11 & 29; Revelation 21:3 & 4; Psalm 72: 12, 14; and Daniel 2:44.
Because there is a devil too and because people have free will and have chosen selfish desires above God's will and sin gets worse. It doesn't stop. In fact it moves from generation to generation. Sin causes curses to pile up. Another fact is that the spiritual warfare is at a peak just before the end. If the US keeps ignoring God, we will end up like a third world nation. We have been the strongest most blessed nation on earth only because we put our trust in God, or the founders of this nation did who also wrote the Constitution (which the Atheists have twisted around or ignored) and the Bill of Rights. Our founding fathers were spiritual and trusted in God, and that was a great foundation for the nation, but the wicked have risen up to take over. Unless we have a gigantic revival in the US we could become like any restricted nation where there is no freedom.
I guess the first thing you would have to do is to look at who is in control of the world we live in? Whose influence do we see? The bible at 1 John 5:19 says '...the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one.' So who would that be? Again the bible at 2 Corinthians 4:4 say that '...the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, so that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through.' In fact the Creator is defended at Job 34:10 where it says ' ...it is unthinkable for the true God to act wickedly, for the Almighty to do wrong!' So putting those things together we see that the Creator is not the blame for the suffering and evils that we see but Satan is the blame. Soon our Creator Jehovah will step in and do away with the wicked (Psalm 37:9-11,29) and that includes Satan and his influence (Revelation 20:3) How nice is it to know that the one who has the power has a plan to make things better here on the earth where we pray for better conditions according to what Jesus told us to pray for (Matthew 6:9,10)
“The whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one.” (1 John 5:19) This world reflects the personality of the invisible spirit creature who is “misleading the entire inhabited earth.” (Revelation 12:9) Satan is hateful, deceptive, and cruel. So the world, under his influence, is full of hatred, deceit, and cruelty. That is one reason why there is so much suffering.
A second reason why there is so much suffering is that mankind has been imperfect and sinful ever since the rebellion in the garden of Eden. Sinful humans tend to struggle for dominance, and this results in wars, oppression, and suffering. (Ecclesiastes 4:1; 8:9) A third reason for suffering is “time and unforeseen occurrence.” (Ecclesiastes 9:11) In a world without Jehovah as a protective Ruler, people may suffer because they happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
