Depends. Cats are more independent so you can mostly go away for a whole weekend if you leave food & water & a clean litter box. Gonna have to kennel a dog. There are just times you can't take him/her with you. Think about your lifestyle and what it might have the potential to become.
Well, you shouldn't get a cat just because your friend told you to. If you want a puppy, get a puppy. But then again, don't let a bunch of random people tell you what animal to get. hope this helps! (:
well ,I honestly like dogs better. but I think cats are easier. Puppies have to be potty trained, taken out every few hours, they puke and poop in the house and they have to be trained. You have to do so much with dogs. But then again, cats have to be litter box trained, some try to run away, they scratch their claws on furniture..so I guess they all have their differences...so bacially..get what you want more (Dogs are more fun) :).
A puppy is A LOT of work, I always suggest an older dog (puppy really) at your local animal shelter and do research on the type of dog you want so you aren't surprised about their behavior... but besides that a kitten would be absolutely wonderful (I'm a cat person) and they are great for a small apartment or a big house. They are easier to take care of and they also have wonderful personalities... Something people may not suggest is a pet RAT! (well they like to be in pairs or more... I have 6) they are like dogs... They are WONDERFUL pets (do some research).. they can learn their names and they can learn tricks as long as you take the time to teach them. I strongly suggest two or more rats. Males and females are SO different so research that. but seriously, TAKE THEM SERIOUSLY.
Depending on your personality. For a calm person, try a small animal. in my opinion sugargliders are great for people who are cool and collected. because they don't really need a lot of care, they are really cute too. but it's up to you, whatever animal you want. go get it
if you like cats get a skunk now hear me out i know they stink and everything but if you live in the right state you can have them fixed just like cats and they act like cats imagine your friends coming to your house and a skunk walks past them and they freak out
