You need a variety of exercises for big arms. Push ups, pull ups, curls, reverse curls, power lifts.. You can create a pull-up bar from a piece of pipe, and attach it to a door frame with the hangers used for curtain rods. You can make a bar bell from a piece of pipe, and pails of water, or pails filled with cement. you can do curls with a pail attached to a line wound on a broom stick, and roll it up with alternating twists of the hands. Use some creativity, but do complete exercise program, not just pull ups. Othwerise you miss many muscles needed for big arms.
lift weights, hold out your arms like a cross for as long as possible over and over, arm swings, push-up planks. Take a shower rod and drill it into the door frame- be careful and make sure that it is really in there good. (you don't want it falling on you).
