Room numbering scheme for New Yorker Hotel in NYC

I am writing a novel set in NYC. Could someone tell me the room numbering scheme for the New Yorker Hotel in Manhattan? It is a setting for one of the characters. I just need to know how the rooms are numbered (3 digit, 4 digit, by floor, etc) so I can give a feasible room number in the story. Any help with this would be fantastic.

Rooms are located at the upper 21 floors of the building between 19 and 40th floors. There are more than forty rooms at each floor at the lower levels. There are lesser rooms at the higher levels. Makes 994 at total, 64 of which are suites. I don't know exactly how many rooms each floor has. They use four digit system, two for the floor, two for the room. Like room 3319 being the 19th room at 33rd floor.
