What is a best way to study for exams and tests?

If you are gonna say study until night with your loud voice and memorize it,that's not gonna work,I'm not Albert Einstein...

Report as

One overlooked trick I found highly useful is that for a given set of material for a test or exam, there were things I was not going to forget even if I *didn't study* them, and things I would forget. So, I made notes of the things I had to know, and from that list I was able to pay *more attention* to the less automatic things.

Highlight key words, make flash cards of terms and the meanings, read anything and everything out loud, read the assigned text book pages over and over. Have someone quiz you on your flash cards, make up a song to memorize stuff.
I don't really know for what subject u are mainly talking about.. so if u give me an explain of 1 u need help w/ i can give more help according to that subject.

Study a little bit at a time like take lots of breaks this will help the material stay in your long-term memory

For the Win! Exactly what the best advice is...study for about 15-20 min, break for 10-15 min, repeat. But realistically, an all-nighter has **very** little chance of being successful.

If you just want to study for exams and tests, you could try to specifically study what will be possibly tested. I mean, you need have a clear idea what will be required. E.g., you can get something from mock exams or exams in the past years. And then you need clear know your advantages and disadvantages. As for the latter, move on and try to make it.

write things down several times, that's why elementary school teachers make kids write their spelling words down as homework so they memorize them. repetition repetition repetition, write it down several times, not just once and before the day of your test, quiz yourself and make sure you know it

well, the best way to prepare or study for examinations all starts with your earlier constant reading even before the coming of the examinations. while studying for the examinations make sure you choose an extremely quiet place, read diligently and jot down some points that you can go through without necessarily reading the whole books over again.

Find a quiet place to study.
Turn off any electrical devices.
Kindly ask parents and siblings to be quiet.
Have a friend help you and help a friend out too!
Have flashcards or what not.
And I dunno if this is true but, i once read if you chew a certain kind of gum while studying, and you chew that flavor of gum during the test you will remember what ever you read.
Hoped that helped!

See if you have continuous touch with the subject then there is no issue regarding this but if you take out the whole bulk just before the exam then you have to struggle a lot but still if you get enough time for the subject practice to write and study that can be really helpful as you will be able to memorize it for a long time also try to solve more and more question to help you to increasing your writing capabilities.

I have found that people who struggle with taking tests often need to create stories in order to learn that material, often their brains do not work well with rote memorization. Something to consider.

It is true that studying overnight cannot make a Albert Einstein, for that i believe you need to have minimal idea of the chapters & highlight the keyword, apart from that try to summarize the same by writing, without checking the content from the book. I believe this skills really helps one to study well & memorize the content on the long run.

Don't focus on anything except your test.Get rid of negative thoughts and fill them with positive ones. You need to exhale and inhale one each question and focus on inhaling and exhaling.Skip any questions that are hard and go on the easy ones and maybe when you go back the ones you already answered can help you with the hard ones.Think and use all the time you are given.

This depends, if you have a really hot brain you can start reading two days or even a day after test but if you are very extra dull start reading a week or immediately they start teaching you, and make songs with your note, but if you're average you can start reading a week.
But the best way according to me is as soon as they teach you a topic read it when you get home, and also when the teacher explains jot down, this helps what your teacher say sink into your head, good luck! :)

I have found that an effective study technique (if you have help) is to have someone unfamiliar with the material (like a parent) to read over it and then you quiz them on what you feel are the important topics. Repeat this as needed until they can answer satisfactorily. This is kind of like you doing the teaching and teaching a subject is the best was to really learn it. Hope this helps!

it depends on what you are studying. review your book rewrite main points in your own word. if you cant teach it you don't know it, in class info is stored in your short term memory and to put it in your long term memory your have to study 2 hours before or after class and clarify unknowns with tutor or teacher. that's what they get paid for

get the thing you know the least and study it in complete silence copying it out and testing yourself. Give yourself rewards along the way. when you're done have a break but not for too long, then repeat this but as you get into easier topics you should play some music of something so you dont get too bored. Its also good to study in a place where you dont feel a though you are studying for instance the couch or your bed
