If teens plan ahead to have sex, in their minds they've sinned, whereas if it happens in the heat of the moment, they just got carried away. Don't deny it, it's true. I did a huge study on it several years ago, and it's believed by many experts to be true as well. They don't have nearly as many unplanned teen pregnencies in Europe where pre-marital sex is more acceptable, and nearly none in Scandinavian countries, where it is completely accepted.
There are so many abortions because people are NOT careful! Some teenagers parents might not want their 16 or 17 year old to take it, or don't allow it, which they think might prevent their teen from having sex. Unfortunately though, many teens throw caution to the wind and do it anyways, and then, instead of raising the child or giving the child up for adoption, they kill the child. I know people say that the child goes through no pain and its over fast, but think about the life that child will never get to live. What if that child was going to find the cure to cancer? Ever child has the right to pursue their future, and to take away the child's future when it's so young because YOU made a mistake, well, to me, that's extremely unfair. “I've noticed that everyone who is for abortion has already been born.” ? Ronald Reagan “How come when it’s us, it’s an abortion, and when it’s a chicken, it’s an omelette?” ? George Carlin -Bree:)
No form of contraception is 100 percent. There are also cases of rape that should be taken into account. Moreover, many females, teens especially, feel an awful lot of shame and are scared, really, of what their mom and dad might do. They have simply not developed enough mentally to take on the challenges. They may choose to abort the baby to please someone else, or to hide the fact that they were ever pregnant.
While it is true that some people practice unprotected $ex. There is no contraceptive method that is 100% effective. Even when they are used correctly. There is a significant number of women who use contraception and get pregnant anyways. There are also matters of r4pe and 1ncest. But there are also medical conditions in which an abortion is deemed medically necessary. And remember history has shown prohibition never prevented abortions, it just forced women to seek back alley abortions and often died as a result. Legal abortions saves lives.
B/c people are not educated on the topic of sex. Parents are afraid to talk to their kids about it. Many schools aren't allowed to talk about it. So they end up "learning" what they know on the school bus and then first hand experience resulting in unwanted pregnancies and bewildered mothers-to-be looking for a solution.

For starters, birth control isn't foolproof. Nearly 40% of people who have abortions were using birth control.
Birth control for women also involves a prescription- and since 80% of women who get abortions have no insurance, they can't afford the doctor's visit.
Also the easiest birth control to obtain and use is condoms, which many studies have shown men use a variety of coercive techniques to get out of using. After all, what do they care, since it becomes her problem if she gets pregnant?
Finally, we have a rash of religious parents pushing for their kids to get no sex Ed in schools, or for "abstinence only" sex Ed which not only is a proven failure but lies about birth control, saying it doesn't work.
The issue is far more complex than you make it, and is also not anyone's business but the woman involved.

Because many young people are not educated about birth control. Some parents and religious leaders are stupid enough to think that if kids don't know about birth control, they would not be sexually active. Of course that doesn't work. Many kids don't get sex ed in school, and their parents are irresponsible enough to not talk to them about it. This does not mean they don't have sex. It only means they don't have protected sex. So I think the fault is with the Christian leaders and religious fanatics because it's their fault these kids don't use birth control.
1.2 million abortions last year. Out of that 18% was 18 and younger. That's 168,000 preventable deaths. Then out of the 18% 11% was 15 and younger. 67% of abortions comes from the ages 20-40 years old. Studies show cause they did not use birth control on regular basis. That's 804,000 abortions cause people are irresponsible. That explains 972,000 preventable deaths. (Abortions) 1.4% is cause woman got rap3d or birth defect. So, you can see the numbers. Really there is no excuse for it. People will say that protection isn't 100% but studies show that isn't the case. People will say cause it will k-ll the woman, birth defect, etc. This simply isn't true. The majority of abortions is cause people, adults, don't make smart choices when it come to having s3x. They don't think of the consequence in the moment and use abortion as a form of birth control. Oh, these numbers is just for US and there was two states unwilling to comply in giving stats, Ca being one of them. These numbers comes from one of two websites, but I chose the one who has been doing it since abortion was legal. Since abortions have been legal in the 1970s there has been over 73,000,000 abortions.
