Right when people get in the Christmas feeling, is usually when it's getting closer to Christmas! Maybe a week before or two! Some people even decide to start decorating and all that junk, the weekend after thanksgiving! (by the way, happy first day of November!) Hoped that helped!
For the Catholic or Anglican (Episcopalian), Christmas is a religious season that begins on Christmas Eve and continues for 12 days (the REAL 12 days of Christmas, BTW) until January 6, the Feast of the Epiphany, also called Three Kings Day. After that, the season of Christmas ends. The Orthodox believer has a similar season. Other Christian denominations celebrate Christmas on 12/25, but may not have a season that follows. In the secular world, the season of "Christmas" begins in July, when companies like Hallmark begin to show their "Christmas" wares.
