If you are not 100% sure that the short leg is from surgery and are still in your growing years, check out my website shortlegsyndome.com. I make no money from this website at all. I only have it as a way to pay back. The only way I can tell my child's leg (1/2 to 3/4) is shorter is when she wears long pants and one leg is riding up higher. I would be very concerned about what the short leg is doing to the aliment of your body (spine, hip, back, ect), that will cause you problems later in life. If you are still in your growing years there is a surgery to slow left leg down to let the right catch up. Doctors I've dealt with would only recommend this surgery if the discrepancy will be above 3/4 inch at full growth. If you are older there is a surgery to stretch you right leg, but don't get your hope up, that is a very rough surgery. At one inch you would be able to get a lift made to fit inside of you right shoe. Much cheaper and just as good as getting special shoes make. While I agree with the post about shorter legs being nothing for God to heal, the videos from the good preachers all appear to be fake. Good luck.

In my own opinion, no one can notice that you have a shorter leg. The difference is just an inch and it is called the short leg syndrome.

Visit a physical therapist and have some orthotics made. It's not an uncommon problem, and that's the common solution.

If you just had surgery, your physical therapist can help you with balance problems. You will walk a bit differently and it will be slightly noticeable. You will just have to practice to get used to it.

They make special shoes to compensate for uneven leg length. Get some people you trust to observe you when you walk in different situations like up stairs, down ramps, etc., and tell you truthfully whether they can notice any difference.

I think orthopedic shoes is a great idea. Also it will prevent back problems later in life.

Even if other people can't tell the difference, I think you will definitely be able to notice, and I think on a personal level you're just gonna wanna get the shoes or whatever they can do to compensate for the difference. At least you know why your one leg is shorter than the other, when I was trying to get into the Army, they told me one of mine was shorter than the other and if they sent me out into the woods I would end up walking in a big circle!!! Who knows? I always feel like I'm walking a straight line. On another note it's knid of kooky that with all these new technologies they couldn't have put something in your leg to compensate for the loss of length. I'm done. GOOD LUCK!!!

That's pretty funny about your walking in circles. Did you end up doing something else in the army, or did you not join?

Shorter legs are nothing for God to heal. 5 or more people had there legs lengthened at one service.
