The greatest "compliment" is to treat them well in general. Actions speak louder than words. Being a good friend, showing up on time, respecting them, being there for them... that's the best thing you can do for another person.
You are the sun in my day, the wind in my sky, the waves in my ocean, and the beat in my heart. All my dreams came true the day that I met you. I Love You! You are the sunshine of my life! Thanks for brightening my world with the warmth of your Love... You are the fire that burns the passion within my soul. I love You with all my heart... I want to be your arms, I want to feel your touch, I want your lips on mine, I need you very much.
I would say that giving your heart to someone would be the greatest compliment. (It doesn't have to mean romantically either.) When you give someone your heart, you give them all of you. (Even the most vulnerable parts that most people do not see or know about.) You put yourself in the place of being hurt, but you show that you trust them and care for them enough to do it anyway. They get you...all of you.
*I hope that made sense as in how I was trying to say it. I am up way too late, plus the clocks went back an hour...so I am up even later. haha

The best compliment someone can give to someone else, has been given.
It has been given by you, Eddie.
You have reached out and touched some of us with your kindness and warmth. In the time you have been here, the words appreciation, consideration, positive thinking, and over-all well-being come to mind. You make it o.k. to be just who we are.
You, Eddie, are the best compliment that anyone could have given to them.
