Not murderers :)

Not really. Some are against it, but they did it anyway. If you mean like, sociopaths or people like that, then yeah, they aren't against it.

Yes, Christians are against homicide. Homicide is murder.
Christians like Jews follow the Ten Commandments which say, "Thou shalt not kill".

In the eyes of god you are, apparently. You're still going to prison, though...

So long as they don't have to get their hands dirty. But it's odd they advocate Gods slaughter of women, children, and other innocents where it's acceptable in the Bible. Christians are against murder the same way that politicians are against war. Superficially.

If you r referring to the wars of the Israelites against their enemies than God had the right. Lets use for example if someone was planning to harm your children and you would do all you could to protect them than you would not only kill the enemy but you would also kill their family also because their family would come back and finish you off for revenge. So yes God did order that the women and children be killed also. But NO he does not go around and kill just anyone these days r different. We no longer are dealing only with Jehovah but we have his son that grants us mercy and grace thru what he did on the cross and that also gives us forgiveness of sins thru the blood that he shed. That sounds like a God of mercy these days.

To me, that sounds like backpedaling. No loving god should use such a heavy, permanent, hand when punishing his own children. "Living under grace" is a poor excuse, created to rationalize the unacceptable behavior of the "god of the old testament". Christianity is a fundamentally flawed religion (not a personal relationship with Jesus) on too many levels. With the passage of time, possibly within the next thousand years, it will die, when Jesus fails to return, and no more false concessions can be made to offer it continued validity of belief.

In fact, you said it best, commenting under another's answer; You're either all-in, or all-out.

When God killed the people he gave them MANY MANY chances. For example Pharaoh. He Gave him 10 mind blowing chances by showing him physically impossible things. He always give everyone a chance. Even people in the middle of nowhere a chance. My pastor told me this. In a island that is near nowhere there was a 14 year old girl that had dreams about God. She would tell her mom and her mom would beat her. She was so frustrated about the word Jesus she had never heard before. One day the missionary came to this family one day and said "Would It be okay if I told you about a man named Jesus?" And the mom fainted... The family are now Christians :) there are stories like this everywhere I pray for you to one day be a Christian and understand. If you want I would be honored to help you

Kpop. . .while my initial reaction is to metaphorically bite your head off, and explain with painful detail how ineffective your comment was, I won't be doing that. You seemed genuine, so instead I'll just leave you with a thanks for your effort. It's simple really, I don't believe in your god. And I don't believe in your gods intrinsic love of it's creations. I see it as monsterous and abusive. Don't make me continue.

What do you mean by saying God was punishing his own children? The people that he ordered to be destroyed was not his children. They were the enemies of him and his children.Every religion that is out there is flawed somehow or another. No one can say which one is completely and utterly correct. Christianity has been around for more than a thousand years already what makes you think it will disappear in the next thousand? There will always be a select few that still follow. Although I hope and pray that i am not here for the next thousand years, if things are bad now I wonder just how much worse they can get. But what if we christians do leave someday what then will you think?

Ant clever apologist could easily talk themselves into justifying murder using the bible and most serial killers have tried this on the stand or in court hearings.
