What does rose before hoes mean?

so a guy told me this today and i'm curious wat he meant by this. he's dating someone and told me that its probably not gonna last long and i didn't ask. he also told me to not become a slut. what does this mean?

A slut is a hoe(prostitute) and it prob means like bros before hoes ( boys before girls)

Bros before hoes means that a group of guys who are friends made a pact to always put thier friends before thier girls. The clean version is pals before gals.
Girls would say chicks before dicks.

If you're the "rose," it means you're important and special, not just another girl to fool around with. If you're one of the hoes.... Well... Yeah... "Bros before hoes" means a guy will be loyal to his guy friends before he's loyal to girls he sleeps with. "Rose before hoes" would similarly mean he would be loyal to one person worthy of it rather than fooling around with lots of girls.

Then I'd roll my eyes at his lame comment and consider it effective flirtation--if you like him :) There's nothing wrong with cheesy pickup lines if they are heartfelt. While perhaps not the best taste, if he meant it, it is truly a unique compliment, at least from ones I've heard.
