how do you think of Edward Snowden?

i have been seriously thinking about that. information should be got whenever we wanna it except thoso that we all unanimously consider harmful to us. thats the way history got developed, like the period of Renaissance and the Enlightenment when people can speak out what they wanna say(even though people were relatively freer to speak at that time). for the part of ''patriotism'', it's hard to say...from the first build of a country, it is a combination of goodness and evil. when you are thinking, you think as an individual or a ''country'' or a person of this country? what is patriotism? you harm her or you harm her in order to make her better. like somebody once said ''i am cruel only to be kind to You''. sorry... i am just entangleed...it's good to spit it out...i really cherish this time when i can still spit it out at this place.

Had he stopped with the leak about the NSA spying on Americans he would have been a patriot. Since then he's become a traitor by leaking information that is harming our reputation worldwide and has no bearing on our individual liberties.

Ya know.....I have mixed emotions about him. He didn't expose any real secrets, simply that the US was spying on everyone. That exposure has caused some understandable angst by those being spied on. On the other hand, everyone is doing it. This is the way the world now gets its information. If we are forced to stop and everyone else continues, we're at a serious disadvantage. I could argue both sides of this topic.

I think he is "self serving". His history does not, in itself, reveal the guy to be or have patriotic motives. A trouble maker with a "chip" on his shoulder. I think him and the "wikli-leaks" felon are of the same cloth, same motivation.

i think he will most likely die in a traffic collision where his car explodes into a fireball and the police determines it is not suspicious

He is certainly courageous and willing to tread his own path. But I fear he may be unreasonably idealistic, and too willing to cause trouble in his quest for inner peace.

Everybody - everybody has always known that countries spy on everybody. There's just no news here. You KNOW that if you have a secure email account, the NSA can get into it. That's their job. We pay them to do that.

Snowden has shown himself to be naive and willing to harm his country for his own ends. Sorry, but I think he's an idiot and a traitor.

He claims he didn't do anything illegal or leak any top secret information. He might be falsely accused. People believe whatever they want to believe.
