any suggestions on entertaining my 14 year old.. she gets bored fast and doesnt want to join sports or anything?

Give her a lot of chores to do as boo said. She will make herself busy in a hurry if she has to vacuum, dust and clean toilets. The best advice I ever received in my life on parenting was from my mother in law. She was a high school teacher with a masters degree in history and she maintained that the bored kids were the ones who got into trouble. She said they usually had a problem that took some digging to get at. Like, they were really behind and afraid to admit it or they were being bullied or they etc.
If she is really just bored give her some jobs and praise her when she finishes them.

You're welcome. Activities that I did with my teen were fun. He liked to be different so we would shop at thrift stores for unusual clothing items. One year he wore a regimental green coat all winter.o
He liked to refinish furniture and paint it weird colors.
I got him involved in a favorite charity of mine and he raised money by selling some of his stuff at garage sales.
We walked dogs together at the SPCA a lot. We visited homeless shelters and volunteered together at soup kitchens and food banks. He had the idea to make sandwiches to hand out to people who looked like they needed it. All of this was a good experience for us together because he saw how fortunate he was in his own life.
Today he owns an advertising agency and has won many awards... Most of the awards for his pro Bono work.
Hope this helps.

thats great! she really wanted to volunteer at spca but she has bad allergies but I did get her in guitar classes and she loves it so I hope she sticks with it... shes always loved the guitar. Shes not into sports or anything so it makes it somewhat difficult.

At 14 ... she should have learned by now how to entertain herself.

If you want an activity to do together ... ask her ... although teens are in that "it's not cool to hang out with your parents" phase.

Maybe teach her to cook, or take walks for exercise(since she doesn't do sports) or yoga!

I have a 14 teen year old that went thru the same phase. I tried everything, until she sat me down and said to just leave her alone! Try it. Good luck.
