What color is a polar bear's fur?
Transparent-the hair is made of keratin, absorbing ultraviolet light from the sun. Keratin gives warmth to the skin as well as water repellent & doesn't mat when wet.
GREEN :) Jk White
Even though polar bears look white, their hair is really made of clear, hollow tubes filled with air.
its actually not clear or white its black.
It's a dirty white color
Isn't it black?? :)
Depends where on the bear you look. Some places are white, some are brown.
Their hair are little hollow tubes, and if I reckon their skin is black...
Preschool teacher here... they're black under the fur, but their fur has a white-ish appearance :)
