Explaining scars to five year olds...?

I babysit a group of 5 year olds and one asked about my self harm scars, I told him that it wasn't important, but the rest of them wanted to know, too. They know I don't have a cat. What do I tell them?

Avoid the subject, 5 year olds have short attention spans and you can easily distract them

I suggest you try your best to avoid the subject period because maybe they might get a stupid idea to self harm themselves.

Say, "I got hurt, but it healed. Don't worry about it." Then change the subject.

If they persist or obsess over it, tell them it makes some people uncomfortable to answer questions about their body (which is true).

Tell them you had a bad boo boo that left a mark called a scar. Then offer them a snack or something to distract them.
