A few months ago I agreed to watch my friend's cat ( length of days unknown), today she tells me it would be for 17 days! I can't, too long!

I have to go to her house everyday for 17 days in December, is it wrong to tell her it's too many days & I can't do it for that long? I feel bad cause she will be gone for her wedding.

That's a long time to expect someone to come over everyday. Maybe she could get a neighbor kid or board her cat. Just be honest with her.

Well , you gave her your word and she needs someone to care for her pet cat - so try to help the best you can because she is a friend and she does need someone that she can rely upon .

Tell her how long you will be able to watch her cat and which date she needs to make other arrangements.

You don't have to stay there the whole day, do you? In any case, if it's too long, tell her so immediately so she can make other plans. Don't leave her in the lurch as the last minute.

And next time try to be specific when you offer to do things for people.

Tell her that's too long. If she could get a next door neighbor of hers to come in that might work instead. Maybe a teenager in the neighborhood would be glad to take care of the cat. How far is it for you and would you need to feed the cat twice a day? That would be too much trouble if you have a full schedule already.

Tell her it's too long, and what day she will need someone else by. Also, take into consideration that while it's not ideal, a cat can do just fine just getting plenty of food, water, etc every other day and leaving a radio on in one room.
