Can I contest my ticket because I was "standing" within 15' of fire hydrant? (Chicago,IL)

I dropped off my boyfriend at Chase bank so he could withdraw some cash. The bank is located at the end of the block, right in front is a fire hydrant. There is meter parking down the rest of the block and before the bank is a bus station. I pulled up to the very tip of the block and put on my hazards as I dropped off my boyfriend. I did not turn the engine off. I waited for traffic to clear up in order to find a better spot. Unfortunately, a ticket maid stood in front of my car as I was reversing (to avoid hitting the car in front of me which was illegally parked directly in front of the fire hydrant!) She began to jot down my license plate without saying a word. I was furious when she began to laugh with her colleague next to her. Can i contest this ticket because I was standing by the fire hydrant for less than one minute?! Please help!!!!!

Sure why not, it's always worth a shot and you never know what the judge will say when you explain the situation. It's not like you were parking there.

Sure, hire an Attorney, shouldn't cost more than a couple of hundred dollars, and then go to court, and then cross your fingers, and hope you win.
