What is Jeeves?

Report as

PG Wodehouse wrote a series of books about a rich Englishman who can't seem to do anything right. He gets stuck in all sorts of compromising positions socially and Jeeves, his valet or general all around servant, always comes up with a brilliant solution to solve the problem. Everyone in the books learn to "ask Jeeves" when there is a particularly tough question.

Ask.com used to be AskJeeves. Is that what you mean?

It was a fictional "butler" character that answered questions. Since then it has morphed into answers from actual people, a social answer site.

where?

In the form of the logo next to the question of the day. As I recall this is the same as the logo on the "Ask Jeeves" page in the US before it became "Ask.com."

Hamath gave a good "behind the scenes explanation."
