What does the process of "winterizing" your car involve?

Report as

winter tires.. make sure your fluids are all filled, make sure heater is working, probably winter wiper blades, make sure you have a scraper if you live in snow.. also put a snow kit in your car, normally gloves a toque, flashlight.. sometimes hazard markers, you can buy those kits at wal-mart

I wouldn't now. It hasn't snowed here in over 60 years. Maybe very light snow once every 20 years or so but it melts the moment it touch's the ground. From what I hear it use to snow here every single winter.. Doesn't anymore...

Heck its raining right now

Basically flushing out your radiator and replacing the fluid with a fresh antifreeze mix for the winter months. Also changing your oil and filter.

Properly, you should have the coolant system flushed and refilled. Check the thermostat. Make sure you have a strong battery. Oil change. New wiper blades. All fairly inexpensive stuff.
