What are some Bible stories for little kids that show to always tell the truth?

I have to teach little ones at my church and looking for some ideas.

I love the story of Jesus and the woman at the well. Remember, he asked about her husband, and when she told Him she wasn't married Jesus told her He knew that. He was just testing her to see if she would admit the truth, that she was living with a man she wasn't married to.

The story of Cain and Abel. It shows us that it doesn't pay to lie because God sees everything. It also provides us the chance to discuss how we should deal with emotions such as such as, anger, jealousy, and regret.

The boy who cried wolf I think is the best bible story to teach honesty :)

The "Boy Who Cried Wolf" is not a biblical story it is one of Aesop's Fables.

Regardless I learned the story in church when I was little and it did the trick just fine.

Even though “The Boy Who Cried Wolf" is a good cautionary tale I don’t want people thinking it is actually from the bible. No insult was meant on my part.

I don't know but here's what I do with my kid ... If I catch her lying I spank her butt. However, if I ask her *Did you do this?* and she says *Yes daddy* then I say *Ok you told the truth, good girl, just don't do _________ anymore.* Then hug her. She knows that she gets in more trouble lying than telling the truth. Lying gets ya the belt. The truth gets you a hug and a kiss.
