Separation of Church and State and the First Amendment, specifically the "Establishment Clause" which basically means that no religions get preferential treatment when it comes to creating laws. So essentially, what is said in the Bible, has no bearing on what sort of laws are passed in the US, especially since not everyone is Christian.

The Bible has no bearing on US Govt policies, nor should it. The Dark Ages were over long ago. They were a dismal failure. In this country, we are guaranteed "freedom of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness" which is not limited to those who choose to follow only a certain religious doctrine.
Separation of church and state is not anywhere in any law Constitution Bill of Rights it was merely a suggestion in a letter by Thomas Jefferson talking privately president obama voted for gay rights only to get votes he claims to be a Christian and a Bible reader the Bible says people should not have same sex marriages same sex relationships it's not the unforgivable sin but that don't make it right either and it's not for the president to say publicly its okay when God our Father the Creator says it's not right
You are from India, a country severely lacking in human rights protections and equal opportunity. Two of the many reasons people from your country flock to America in droves every year. The fact that you asked this question proves that you are living in the right place. Over here, we prize human decency and justice over ancient texts that can be interpreted myriad ways to reflect internal, pre-existing bigotry. Sorry (not).
The Bible is not against it. I'm an atheist and even I know that. The only time homosexuality is ever said to be bad in the Bible is when those who partook of it were doing extremely horrible and disgusting things. Just read the end of Romans chapter 1.
it also says if you travle and people are worshiping a different god you can go on a mass murder spree your not allowed to be a priest if your nose is flat if a man or woman cheats they both must die if you say the word god you are to be stoned disrespectful kids should be killed you cant wear clothes made of 2 kinds of material women cant speak in church a man missing a testical cant be Christian you cant get tattoos you cant eat pork so tell me how many of you are truly following you sacred book because before you say homosexuality is wrong and the bible is against it read all of those and then try and tell me you follow and agree to it

Just because the bible is against means we shouldn't grant people the right to marry.I very strongly believe in equal rights for everyone. So with what your saying you think the United States of America should be run by a book of a certain religion.America is the land of the brave home of the free, where free religion is in the bill of rights to have all there laws go by the bible.
It appears that secular law is more equal, and so understanding and loving than any religious law I have ever known.
Am I to understand that your Obama Care is to help the sick and the less well off as well? We have a similar process in place in the uk and it is for everybody. Rich people dont necessary work harder than poor people as I understand. An sick people never made that choice either I am sure they would rather be well and feel useful. If you disagree then we start falling into Hitlers territory I fear, only a perfect human race is deserving, and what pressure that is with all our human flaws. Anyone can get sick rich or poor it doesn't discriminate. Funds soon disperse when you are unwell or become disabled and can no longer afford private insurance. Truth be known as righteous as we like to think we are people fear losing what they have. The more you have the more you have to lose.
It looks to me like you might be from Brazil. A direct quote of the entire first amendment of our Constitution: "Amendment I Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." It says that 1) Congress can't make a law respecting an establishment of religion, or 2) forbidding the free exercise of religion. Some people seem to think that allows them to twist it so they can force their prejudiced ideas on others, despite what it says.
He has done numerous anti-Christian things. He can't be a Christian in truth. He brought 10,000 Muslim Somalians over on refugee status and dumped them in the Bible belt. He should have brought the Christians over instead. It's the Christians who are hunted down by the Somalian Muslims in Somalia. They are killed and tortured. He also brought more over at another time. Some went to Kentucy or Tennessee and others to GA.
As it was once explained to me... "Because everyone deserves love". Everyone has the right to love who they want and be loved...I know gay and lesbian seems really strange, but think about it...(I'm a girl) what if there was a law against me dating my boyfriend? How would I feel? Not very good I'm sure. I very rarely agree with Obama but in this case...he's only doing what is fair to everyone.
