Why do humans cry? I don't need reasons, just an explanation as to why tears come out of our eyes and our noses run etc.

Just wondering. :)

The first reason humans cry is for lubrication of the eyes. The tear ducts keep the eyes moist so that blinking works and isn't painful. We also cry to get dust and other items out of our eye and keep them clean. Emotional tears are a result of hormones in response to sadness and happiness.

Scientists are not sure why we cry emotional tears, but one popular theory is that we cry to nonverbally express distress and elicit help from others.
