NO MILK. No dairy at all, unless u want to vomit everywhere on
The court. You Need some carbs for energy... And carbs are found in bread. On out school basketball team we get Chick-Ful-A, so we are full of energy. Chicken is good in protein, and try to avoid fried foods.

Make sure you eat carbs (pasta, steak, etc) the day BEFORE the basketball game. The day of, right before, eat something sugary like a candy bar. Give ya energy.

This is funny because I had a game Tuesday and ate noodles Monday night. I agree, pasta or anything like noodles the night before a game. I usually just eat a small pack of crackers and some water right before the game since the salt in the crackers will help retain the water I would lose when sweating.

Carbs. Pasta, rice, bread. Stay away from sugar or caffeine as you may end up crashing energy wise before the game is over. Carbs are converted to actual usable energy. Eat fruit n veggies and LOTS of water as well.

Pasta had lots of complex carbohydrates, so you should eat that the night before your game. The morning of your game you should have lots of protein. I usually just make an egg-white omelet with rolled oats, spinach, and chicken. It fills you while giving you energy, but it won't make you throw up while running. Before your game I would suggest a type of sandwich. try something like chicken breast, lettuce, tomato, and avocado on Italian, whole wheat, or whole grain bread. Or try a light turkey sub with lettuce and tomato, etc. DO NOT eat any type of candy or soda!It only gives you a short amount of energy in a short amount of time which is NOT what you want for basketball.
I usually have a protein snack before the game. I usually do almonds, unsalted peanuts, and dried cranberry's, or rolled protein oats w/ dark chocolate pieces, or protein bars. This helps repair your muscles after you work out. And although it may not be fun at first, always try to eat right so you can give your body enough energy and enough of what it needs for every single day, not just am day. Good luck at your game.

Two eggs with bread slice, juice an apple. I think this is more than sufficient before you start a basketball game.

I know that protein muscle body building powder that you mix up and drink might be a good idea . You actually get sick if you don't work out . You have to work your body after you drink it . I know basket ball players are active and strong like that . You might benefit from that . They sell it in pharmacys and gnc . Try talking to the pharmacist or gnc worker before you buy it . Especially a pharmacist , they know their medicines and over the counter remedies very very good .
