Why do people who only eat natural foods drink decaffeinated coffee?

Do you have evidence to back your claims?
No.
I've never heard of such nonsense.

They believe it's healthier for them. Also it helps give them energy!

Agrees violently with captainJane. I personally drink decaffeinated coffee because I like the taste of coffee in general, and I don't even need a sleep energy boast anyways XD

Caffeine is removed from coffee through a water process and is natural.

It is a general belief that caffeine has bad health effects which is not true. Caffeine abuse is certainly a problem but a few cups is actually beneficial.
On the other hand, "natural food" is a wrong choice of words. There are not much synthetic compounds in food, most of them comes from plants or animals one way or another. The right term would be "unprocessed food" Of course there are degrees of processes. Caffeine extraction is a one step alteration on a natural source, which is similar to salted meat instead of meat or peanut butter instead of peanut or gluten free starch. Which change the nature of the food only a little. However, food that are too processed like from scratch like biscuits or candy or else have a combination of compounds that is completely unnatural and thus unhealthy. Like too much simple-sugar and fat, too much trans-fat etc.
