Try putting the squirrel in a small can and fill with Kool Aid and a Popsicle stick then put the can in your freezer - making your dog a squirrel-sicle.

I think it is a good idea. Maybe your dog's intention was to hunt down the squirrel and have it as his meal.

if squirrel is cooked right it can be eaten and delicious, I just don't recommend doing this.

Squirrel meat is actually pretty good. Had it once. Cooked of course. You dont have to cook it for the dog. Just butcher and skin and maybe debone it and feed it to him.

No, how do you know if the squirrel is carrying a harmful disease?

Wildlife carry many diseases that cooking does not kill. Enjoy wildlife being alive not dead.
