I also have a lazy eye...but for me, the eye only wanders when I am not really focusing with it. When I look at something with intention, the eye moves back into alignment. Doctors considered surgery when I was very young, but thought I might grow out of it. And it probably has improved over the years.
If it bothers you, do consult a physician. Not really something to be taking advice over the Internet.
corrective lenses can help. I have heard of the eye patch also. but like was said, it is important to take only the advice of a qualified caregiver. I'm not sure you can ever "get rid of it" but you can try to re-train it.
