Why are offensive answers and bad advice not deleted, here on ask.

When the truth, not being a bad answer or offensive is deleted?

Because something you think is offensive or bad advice may not be to a moderator.

Because someone always finds some word in a perfectly fine answer that could be slightly offensive if it had been used in an entirely different context, but when it comes to the offensive things, they never TECHNICALLY used any offensive words, so yea. :/

Hm. I find that hard to believe.
ASK has changed a lot. I'm not sure what your version of 'Bad advice' or 'offensive answers' is.

probably because there's too many questions and answers for the mods to go through, so we have to do our best in helping them out by reporting what we see as inappropriate or offensive.

Probably because nobody ever really reports them. I've reported some answers on here yesterday that were like "idk either man but that's a good question" or something. That's unnecessary. You're putting the questioner in suspense, with him only to find out he doesn't have an answer to his question. Or her.

Part of the problem is deciding what is "bad' advice?

If an theist advises you to believe in God and an atheist advises you not to, how can you decide which one is giving you bad advice.

Personally, if I give a fact based answer that is different from some of the other answers, I try to give a reference so that the person asking a question can seek out additional information if they so choose.

Remember also that when you signed up and read the terms and conditions of the site, you agreed that you would rely on the answers posted here essentially at your own risk.

As far as "offensive answers," that is a REALLY subjective concept.
