I used to have my brother test me on all the answers. I would study and he would test me, and tell if im right. If I get one wrong I would study for 1 more hr and test again. Btw I pass :)

Don't study the day before. It won't help. If you're midterms are like mine, study during Christmas break then come January you'll be ready.

The more you say to yourself "I can't pass this" then you'll actually fail it.

to get you in the studying environment you should go to the library where there wont be as many distractions as opposed to being at home where your computer is there and lots of other things

some good ways to study? well to start off get yourself in a quiet place , get away from anything that can distract you. ask someone to help you study, but make sure its someone who is going to actually help you and not just distract you. make a bunch of flash cards and get them to ask you the questions constantly on your topics and try your best to get the right answer. good luck on your exams !

Basically you need to plan out your study time.
Then write down all the stuff you know about the topic your studying.
Then test yourself on what you know without looking at your notes
try to spend 1-2 hours in years 7,8,9
2-3 hours in years 10 and 4-5 hours in year 11,12

Its what i did when i had to study for end of year exams

if u want to be solo do it alone with flash cards, high lighters, memorizing, reading out loud,

trying studying in different settings to even if its in your house all the time.
try at the table, in the kitchen, couch, room.

try going outside in the sun light you will remember what you studied and go oh yea i remember that becaue i was outside when i reviewed that.

take breaks. at least ever 30 mins. (if u want stuff to slip out of your head try studying for long periods of tiem)

First of all prioritized the importance of subject. Divide it categorically. Make a timetable. Better to go through the summary instead of whole chapter. Consult the past paper made to know the mind of examiner. Hurrah...! There you go. I pray for your success.

I like to make recordings of what I'm trying to learn and listen to them in the car or at the gym but I'm an auditory learner.

What worked for me is basically cramming (I know, it's ideally not a good technique) but I would study maybe the night before or a few hours before and make sure I understood what I was reading (or listening to) because it is fresh in my head. It doesn't work for everyone but that method works for me. Anyways, good luck and try your best because that is all you can do.

Firstly, you need to have a idea what you have learnt and what possibly to be tested. And then you need to make an outline and schedule to review.

The best way to study is at 20min intervals. Your brain remembers the first and last 10min of studying time. It doesn't matter if you normally study for 2hrs. or for 5hrs. So study for 20min,then take a 10min break, then back to studying. Hope this helps! :)

What helped me was classical musical playing in the background. For some reason it would relax me and my mind and make me more able to retain information. After that read over your notes, because usually midterms cover the stuff you learned up to then. And since teachers like to be tricky, read all the homework questions for each chapter that you have covered and then figure out the answers if you don't know them off-hand. Oh also remember to take breaks so your brain won't get overwhelmed. But not too long or too many breaks. :) Good luck...You can do this.

Well I prob sound like a teacher but a good way to study is to rewrite your class notes and example problems for the classes you find difficult . You should do these from the first day you have class so it doesn't pile on. When ur rewriting notes and don't understand something make a list on a seep rate sheet of paper and ask ur teacher to go over that topic . If u hv homework for that class do ur homework first go online for help on ur homework problem and then rewrite ur notes for the class . Only do these for classes u find the material hard to understand . So now that ur rewriting ur notes all year long you'll see you won't need to cram in and you'll pass with an A . Studying is like exercising the more you exercise the more muscle u build and look great for the pool or the beach .to build that muscle it takes time, cramming into a gym and lifting weights the night before going to a pool party won't build u muscle for the pool pArty and you risk injury or be too exhausted to really enjoy urself at the pool party :)

This may sound a little odd or too personal, but the principle is "short bits of information stay and are absorbed and stay put" - take your books/notes/laptop/tablet with you EVERYWHERE and leave KEY materials in the w/c (bathroom). Put bookmarks in the most important places, leave those in the w/c and look at them each time you visit until your exams. If you remember nothing else you will recall what you studied in the w/c. Personally I have never studied before exams. My method has been, attend class, read the assigned materials, take notes in class by hand, pay attention, ask questions and understand anything I am unclear about and do the work/labs required. I have never studied for a University Exam in my life and never failed an exam or received a lower score than 75%, most well above that. Best of Luck!

I'm studying for Trimesters, 1/3 of my overall grade per class, on the weekend before (big general review) and a lot the night before (in-depth per subject of the next days test). other people started studying before that. Go over things the teacher stressed, if they stressed the Religion of Ancient Egypt, go over it.

Take out a blank piece of paper and put down all of the most important information. Re-write this sheet again and again until it's memorized.

Listen to classical music, but don't put the music on too loud. You are going to get distracted by the music if you put it on too loud.

Clear EVERYTHING off your desk or something you're studying on. Only put the essentials like pencils/erasers/sharpeners etc etc.

Ask someone to help you by using flashcards. That's the studying I usually do. (And I pass)
I Hope you pass midterms! :)
