I want to buy a car but I don't know where to begin, tips?

Well I'm leaving to my duty station this Friday and I want to either be able to buy my car when I get to my duty station or when I get back late December or early January to my home town. I know I want something specifically roomy and a gas saver since I'm close to home so I'll be driving back and forth on weekends a lot. Suggestions on how I should start?

You already have a couple criteria ... "gas saver" (mpg) ... "roomy" (space)

You also need to look at your pay, and figure what your budget is ... so you know what you can afford. Either as a lump sum, or monthly payments. > Don't forget to factor in gas, maintenance, and the expensive one - insurance.

first see how much you want to spend for a car how much down payment you can afford and what monthly payments you can afford as well will full coverage insurance then you can go from there

Always test drive! Take it to a mechanic and have them check it before you buy it.
