On a personal scale, or worldwide? On a personal scale: eat a balanced diet, take a multivitamin, educate yourself on what constitutes proper nutrition. If you're talking about malnutrition among people who can afford food but don't eat "right," public education is a big step, as is raising health standards on packaged foods and fortifying common products with additional nutrients. Folic acid is added to most bread products, for example, which has been huge in preventing spina bifada in newborns.
If your'e talking about global HUNGER...well, that's a horse of a different color, and if the question could be answered in 1200 characters or less, I'd like to think we'd have solved the problem by now.

Treatment for malnutrition depends on its cause. A doctor or dietitian might recommend specific changes in the types and how much food your child eats, and may prescribe dietary supplements, like as vitamins and minerals.(This is only if your talking about yourself or your child)

Are you mal-nourished or worried about others who are? There are no easy solutions because the people who have surplus food to give away, have no way of getting it to those who need it the most quickly before it spoils. There are organizations that are asking for donations all the time, who are feeding the starving children in Africa. They feed hundreds of thousands. Check with www.lifetoday.org.
There is also an organization called "Feed the Children" in the US who are doing a great job. There are many compassion organizations and churches who are feeding people and helping all they can. I used to go to San Francisco with a group that fed the homeless over there. We mostly gave them peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and sometimes something better, plus hot soup and coffee, also sometimes we gave them blankets, etc. too.
I guess its hopeless. Every nation would have to have enough money to buy farming implements and have seeds to plant to produce food. Then someone to teach them farming methods. 3rd world countries are too poor to have access to these things. Also .. No education to teach them. Starving and malnutrition is a horrible situation.
A concerted effort by the super rich. Us, as regular citizens have little power over this as the super rich simply find creative new ways to separate our money from us faster than we can attain it. "A fool and his money are soon parted." That makes 99% of Americans the fools in the situation and the world suffers for our persistence to be subservient to a system that panders to evil men.
