How to get rid of Seabather's Eruption?

I went to Cancun, and just returned Monday night. A few days ago, my mom and I had noticed small bumps on our body that resembled bites. Over the days, the bites and their amount grew dramatically. We discovered that we had gotten Seabather's Eruption, a terribly itchy reaction from Thimble Jellyfish larvae in the ocean. Other people that vacationed to Cancun had noticed it too. I'm allergic to mosquito bites, so I know how terrible an itch can be. This is far worse than anything I've ever experienced. I just got out of the shower, and it was horrific. My legs are bright red and itching terribly, as well as my neck and around the back of my scalp and parts of face. Does anyone know remedies to this?

My daughter was attacked severly in Florida years ago. She was very sick for over a month. We tried everything. ...she was so sick she wanted to rip her skin off. Took her to doctors several times. She was prescribed Atarac (sp?) for itching. .a mild tranquiler because she was just flipping out from pain and itching. Try some benadryl allergy medication..and put vinegar and water 50/50 in a spray bottle and keep spraying yourself wherever it itches. Do not take hot baths or showers. Use only warm water. Hot water makes it feel worse and makes the rash/stings even redder.

Report as a couple tubes of hydrocortisone cream. Apply several times a day. I could go on and on this subject. Good luck!!!!
