im 16 and need tofind a cheap car but how?

i only have like 700 dollars to spend

Obviously you are looking for a used car. Some good places to find them are through auto classified ads such as auto trader. Some times you can find car sales fliers on the stands on the way into stores or restaurants. Look around you and be aware of any cars that are for sale by owner. Let people know you are looking so they can help you look. You might consider a local car auction, but I recommend taking someone with you who can help you check the cars mechanically before the auction because there are no test drives at auctions. You may find cars listed for sale by owner on craigslist.

In that price range you should focus more on how the car runs than how the car looks. Cars for sale by owner can be some of the best deals if you can find them. I wish you luck!

The best things I can suggest are :

1. asking people you know, and looking around your area for
cars in driveways with for sale signs, or

2. craigslist.org

Craigslist will be cheaper than the sites noted in the previous answer because people do not have to pay to post ads or pay when the cars sell, so the vehicles listed are usually less.

Buy from a private person and not from a dealer, and the prices will be lower as well.
