My girlfriend just told me she may have to move away at the end of the school year. What do I do?

Her parents appearently can't afford to keep their house, so they may have to move to Arkansas unless her dad can get a better job by some miracle. Is there some way her parents could sign her over to my parents so she could stay, without her becoming my sister (that would obviously make our relationship socially wrong)?

Sign her over? That's ridiculous, you both will survive. Try long distance. If it doesn't work, it's not the end of the world.

long distance never works out because said girl is untrustworthy. if they love each other she wont cheat never doubt love my friend.
Report as
I am not your friend and guys/girls are hoes. They are young and are going to be attracted to others and they will burn their love instead of making it grow. I just don't see that working out. I will bet you if they do the long distance thing by the time they are ready to move in together they will be sick of each other and it will end badly but if they are friends or have an open relationship i bet they will be much happier and be happier way longer.

Lol That's just your opinion because your some person in high school who doesn't keep a relationship for more than two weeks.

There really isn't anything you can do to keep her here. If she has family in the same school district, she could ask to stay with them but your parents aren't family and u can't sign over a person. Enjoy the time you have now. School isn't over for at least 5 months. And you said maybe, so maybe it won't happen.

yes they could sign her over but i don't think any parent would want to do that. If you have been with each other for a while take a break until you turn 18 then you can get married if you wanted. I know this is going to sound corny but just let her go and if you were meant to be then the universe or god or karma or whatever you believe in will bring her back. Or... you can be friends but it will be to hard to see her live somewhere else.

It's not even logical to date in school. Too much drama and problems. Try a long distance relationship. Use Skype, FaceTime, email her or something, If that doesn't work out just wait till you can both move out some year and get together. If that doesn't work then find another girl to date for last resort:)

thats actually pretty funny that you would consider that. look at it through the eyes of the parents, would you give your daughter away to some boy? don't do a long distance relationship like the rest of the world, move on.
