How to do a split?

I can only do a half split. I want to know how can I do a full split? What exercises or what would I have to do to be able to do a full one? How long would it take?

get your dad or some sort of mechanism and a person to push you inch by inch per minute until you do and after the movement repeatedly pound the muscle your stretching to relax it and move again until you reach your goal, use a wall to help

you can only obtain it by stretching the required leg muscles. the key is to do it slowly as to NOT tear any muscles. each time a little more over a period of days /weeks keep practicing.

..if your not flexible dont DARE.try because thats going to be a horrible feeling.

If you are double jointed it is easy(er) but if you are not do not try to do a full split at once. Do it a little farther everyday and it is better to try it after a run or some stretches. And do not push yourself. Do about half and inch a day or so until you can't go any farther then hold position and wait for about a min and try a little farther and practice everyday. Track our progress and everyday start at where you left off. DO NOT try to do it all at once if you think you can do it. You can pull or tear a muscle.This process takes mostly 2 weeks. But after you master it keep practicing to get your body used to doing a full split and good luck.
