As an automotive engineer I worked in the dynamometer labs certifying engines for emissions and testing new technology for achieving same. To say I was up to my elbows in construction projects wouldn't be an exaggeration. Mind you, this was in the early 1970's, so you see, we've been testing for todays emission controls years ago.
