Does age, morals, or gender affect the measurement of the value of life?

We've all heard the phrase "women and children first". If you measure the life of a man, child, and woman, both equal in every aspect (good, evil, smart, stupid) would ones life be more valuable then the other?

"Women and children first" is a phrase from the days when women and children were thought equally helpless and vulnerable and in need of protection at all times. Nowadays, I think "children first" would be acceptable; children are physically weaker than adults and less experienced in handling a crisis so they still need extra protection.
If women want equal footing with men, equal rights etc. (which I do want) then women must be willing to deal with "children first," men and women (or women and men, whatever) handled equally getting to whatever safety there is.
Of course, with allowances for the elderly, sick, or handicapped (again, men and women equally). Good/evil; how do you decide in a crisis? Figure that out later.

Women are considered more valuable, because, when you get right down to it, it's natural. we can reproduce, and you need a lot of us, while we new only one man. Children are considered more valuable because they still have their life ahead of them. Plus chivalry, society's definition of being a good citizen, ect.

Gender does not really affect the measurement of the value of life though age and morals do affect values of life. As you grow up and mature in years, you develop a certain set of morals and these are the morals that you are measured by in society to determine the value of your life.
