Theirs. Because we would embargo all imports and exports to/from the US.

No clue who would suffer more... I can simply say we would both suffer greatly.

Not just from the market impact, but also from having to carry out such an impractical war. It's very difficult and expensive to fight an overseas super power.

Both would greatly suffer, and it also depends on ego would win the war. Firstly, the war alone would cost more money, and we owe billions to China. But it would hurt China, too, because they make a huge majority of our products, which we would probably boycott. If they won the war, we'd be in a bigger debt. If we won, we may or may not still owe them any money, and we'd be getting their products for less. They'd lose money. It's for these reasons that we or China choose not to wage war. It would be a stupid and pointless move for either one us.

Depends on who hits who first. Both are nuclear powers, it would be a lose/lose proposition. Billions of lives lost and the world economy would collapse. Followed by anarchy, famine and nuclear winter.

The world economy depends heavily on high tech / exotic metals sourced in China. Any war that changes that supply will be felt around the world's economies.
