I got my hedgehog last week and ever since yesterday she's been having mucus in her poop, why is she pooping mucus?

I give her some wet cat food every night and it is turkey, i give her very expensive high quality Blue Brand Cat food, i clean her exercise wheel everyday with clorox wipes and then i use paper towel to soak up the clorox is it that maybe she ingested clorox?

I have a hedgehog myself, and this happened to me. Your hedgie does that due to a change in new surroundings, and possibly a sudden food change, but the worst that could be happening is that the hedgehog is having a stomach ache. No big deal, just try not to panic the little guy, and he should be fine! If there are big signs of panic, you might need to take a trip to the doctor, but that will most likely not happen :D

Maybe you should get her hedgehog food instead of cat food because she might be having an allergic reaction.

Cat food is better for them than cat food.

I had this with my hedgehog once, it's usually due to a change in surroundings and especially food. The worst that happens due to this is a stomach ache if you handle it well, so try not to panic the little girl and she should be fine! Sounds like you're taking great care of her, good luck! ^_^

You should start rinsing the wheel off after you clean it with clorox wipes and maybe its the brand of cat food. Try a different brand.
