If I'm 4 months pregnant and have a sore throat does my baby have it too?
and what can I do to make it go away? cause gargling salt water isn't helping?
Another reason WHY kids should NOT be having kids...*shakes head*
You need not to worry because your sore throat will not necessarily be transferrable to the fetus. However, there is the "Vertical transmission" which refers to the spread of infectivity from mother-to-baby. Check out http://infectiousdiseases.about.com/od/kidsinfections/a/Congenital.htm to learn more.
I doubt very much if the baby also has a sore throat but you should talk to your OBGYN about what medicines are allowed because you want to be sure.
