After brushing it off the lamb, the flavor is still going to be there. The oils have already absorbed into the meat. If you still want to eat it, try using a gravy...PLAIN gravy without any seasonings to help balance out the flavor. I have a sensitivity to rosemary so even if you did this, I still would not be able to eat it. It overpowers anything else on the menu.
I did this one time with lavender. A little with garlic and lemon on chicken tastes wonderful. I used too much on a turkey and it smelled and tasted like soap (because of the smell). I had to throw it out.
Unless your family REALLY likes rosemary, I would discard it and make something else.
