Which radar detector should I buy?

Ok so I want to spend under a hundred dollars on a GREAT radar detector. Im debating between the "Whistler cr-70" or possibly the "Cobra ESD 777" I just want a really good detector for a fair price, walmart has the whistler for 70$ and the cobra for 50$ so what do i do?

I used to love radar detectors, especially after anti radar detector radar came out. Detectors rely on the cops unit to emit a signal. No signal no detection. It could be on and ready in the cop car, in the fraction of time it takes to flash a signal and have it bounce back to my car your busted! Some states they are illegal. I've seen cops bust people for interfering with a governmental agency for just having one. I didn't like writing tickets. Traffic Cops are there to be a deterrent, if I could get compliance by stopping people and warning them, fine! A few stupid people talked me from a warning to an arrest just by being an extreme Adam Henry though!

Ok, I wouldn't buy either! It is a false sense if security. In most states 10 mph over costs at least $100.00, and you still out the money spent for the so called detector! Enjoy!

The $50--$70 price range is NOT gonna buy a "great" radar detector.

Neither! Just drive the speed limit and save the money you'd spend on the detector. If you are having trouble getting from point A to point B, LEAVE EARLIER! That way you will protect the public from your reckless acts! Remember, Speed Kills! And having worked on an ambulance crew I've seen the damage first-hand. Do us all a favor, drive safely.
