What is beer and whisky made out of?

Just curious

Report as

Both are made from grains. Beer adds hops for flavor. Beer is usually made from hops and barley but other grains such as wheat can be used.
Whiskey is made from grains, usually malted but not always. It can be made from any grain. In the United States corn is commonly used but other grains such as rye, barley etc. can be used. There are different classifications of Whiskey depending on what was used. Canadian Blended has to have at least 51% rye.

Hi JD~ I hope the holidays have found you in good health and you are enjoying them. ! Your answer, which is correct (you already knew that.. :)) bring a song to mind. It goes something like:

My My My Whiskey and rye...

You can add the tune. It's better for your ears if I leave that to you.
Ever heard it? Big giggles and smiles. It's great to see you. :)

I don't know the song but if it's about Whiskey it's probably good. I like Let me go Home Whiskey by Asleep at the Wheel and Alabama Song/ Whiskey Bar by The Doors.

usually made from malted cereal grain (as barley), flavored with hops, and brewed by slow fermentation. Whiskey is made of fermented corn or grain mash
Hope this helps!
