A reverse mortgage is s good idea. If you have a son/daughter that wants the home, they have dibs, they just by it from the mortgage company.
There are seven of us children, we take the bills and split them 7 ways so it is not hard for any of us. We also bought them a new truck and we split the cost. We have very loving parents, and that's the least we owe them for all they did, are doing, and will do for us. They get to enjoy life more now.

That's totally awesome, usually siblings can not get along well enough to do this. You must have wonderful parents.

Your parents are very lucky people to have such loving and caring children. I only have 1 daughter, my other one just passed away 4 mo. ago & I'm helping with her daughter. Thank You!

In my opinion, perhaps this could be the best time for you to claim on your retirement benefits. However, you can also contact your close relative or friends for financial support or short term loans.

Well, it is not unthinkable for the two of you to go back into the work force. My grandmother worked until she was 85 and enjoyed life to the fullest. She did what she had to do to make ends meet and while she was not rich monetarily she was independent and happy. Good luck to you both.

If you are healthy you might be able to offer services for the more elderly such as house work, shopping, driving them to the doctor, etc.

I'm very sorry - after 65 years on earth
You should be able to live comfortable
So if you own your home you can do a reverse mortgage - they pay you a monthly Payment - when you die the mortgage co owns your home
If you don't own your home- try to work online - when you want -
If your hus owns a trk- maybe he could try scraping- looking for unwanted steel- copper- aluminum -
My dads buddy does this and makes
( give or take ) about a hundred $ a day- you just have to find a good source of unwanted material
Even old fridges- hot water heaters-
Are also recyclable - and they pay you cash-
Good luck hope everything works out
You would be surprised what people thro away that they could recycle
:-)

There are places that offer jobs, even part time for seniors, to help supplement your income. Buying and selling items. Even online programs for cash flow.

garage sale, selling stuff on ebay, selling your home for a smaller more efficient one, same with vehicles, old jewelry, or applying at various places :)
