Is something up on the site tonight? Removal of legit answer the split second it was posted.

I just answered a question. A simple one. Gave a real answer with no bad words, no anger. Just a simple answer and the moment I clicked to post it, it was marked as removed for being against TOS. She asked about washing dishes green, I gave an idea of how to do it. It was a really bland question and answer and for the life of me cannot understand why it was yanked the second it was posted. It never saw the light of day for a second. Literally went straight to "this post was reported and removed" before anyone could have seen it. It never made the page. Is the site having issues right now? (PS...now the answer is back on the page. But again, it never showed up before it was labeled removed. Let tech folks now maybe?

Just a word filter that triggered a review. It was never removed, just had to go through moderation due to a word you used. This will explain it more :)

Tiki, I have looked at that before and for the life of me cannot find a word in my answer that might have set the filter off. That is why I asked if there was a glitch right now. I try to be very careful with my answers. I think I have only ever had one taken down for good and it was my own fault. It was not bad, just a bit sarcastic but deserved to be yanked. Normally I am better than that. But I am really sure this should not have set off filters. So confused how telling someone to put water in the sink and not use a dishwasher could set off the filters.

Oh, and don't forget the first thing I saw was that it had been reported, not the message saying it was being checked. I have seen that one before and later found my answer made it fine. But this time when I clicked submit, it immediately said it was reported for removal. Should I just send the details to Eric and let them see if there is a glitch?

Hi Sunshine, I'm sorry, I logged off a bit after this and didn't see the reply and have been away most the week. I believe the word "dirty" set it off. Your reply was never hidden, it just went through the filter. You could send the details to Eric if you'd like, but your question was cleared just as soon as it went through moderation.

I did see that it showed up. It was just odd how it showed the notice as removed instantly on hitting enter and not the notice that says being checked by moderators for content. But I have been off the site for a bit and it could be an anomaly. If I see it again I will send a note to Eric. And I have to giggle that the word that may have set it off is common for many uses. Filters...huh...lol
