59 F very weak, feeling low, hungry but dont feel like eating.. why?

i am 59 years old, and im facing eating disorder. due to which im very very weak, i talk like a drunk at times, because i dont have energy to speak, i feel very low, so i got a full body check up, and the doctor told me, that my blood result shows defiency in sodium, and he also said that mycholestrol- my bad blood is more than my good blood. Is that the reason why i am not able to eat anything? .... im starving and hungry but when i eat somehting i feel pukish and i dont feeel like putting the food in my mouth. I am tired of consulting doctors. Please advice whats wrong with me... is this some depression problem? i used to be fat and now i have lost a lot of weight.. I have a record of taking depression tablets-when my close frend died of cancer and when my daughter got married.

It could be anything from a hormonal deficiency to simple chronic depression, neither of which should be attempted to treat at home without close doctors supervision. An aversion to food only ends one way, and mess up your metabolism and it becomes even harder to conquer the problem. Start slowly with toast and tea or juice of your choosing, small bites and sips until you can overcome the feeling of nausea, try some Ensure or Boost with protein both are made to be tolerated well. If you can't conquer this by the end of weekend see a doctor at E.R. as soon as physically possible wait too long and you'll die.

Drink fluids and please try to eat something. If you don't you will get weaker. Can't say what's wrong with you but you should be under a doctor's care with these symptoms.

You asked 3 questions. The doctor should have explained these things to you. Do you understand cholesterol? If you live somewhat close to a University research hospital you may want to get re-checked. I've never heard of anyone with a sodium deficiency. Did your dr explain these things to you?

Sodium deficiency is very real. The problem here the more water she drinks the more depleted the sodium gets since she's not eating. She really needs to be in the hospital getting fluids.
