How to get better turns in ballet?

Report as

Have your dance teacher help make you improvements. What I don't recommend is have someone like you mom help you because my mom always sugar-coated things. Also always make sure your wearing what ever type of shoe that your going to be wearing on stage like ballet shoes, foot undies, etc.

I'm a dancer, my teacher makes me do 25 sit-ups and then try. It helps find your center, which helps you turn better. Also you want to lift up and have a straight line down your back.

Pick a spot on a wall and look at it when you turn. Keep looking at it while you're turning. Then, at the last moment of your turn, whip your head around and look at the spot on the wall. Kinda confusing but it helps!! :)

Yep, I spot with my turns, but I can't do that many turns and I can't get my leg really high off the ground

I can only do 1-2 turns and I've been dancing for 11 years. Stretch before you do them. :)
