Is a 1200 calorie diet REALLY a starvation diet?
I've been vegetarian for about 8 months now and eat around 1200 cals a day of very whole foods. According to some caloric calculators I should be eating 2000 cals a day. I don't mind the weight loss but I was just wondering is this unhealthy? I never feel deprived of food and eat when I want with how much I want. I eat pretty clean too. I'm just worried about my metabolism dropping or something.
