What do you think are the best Bratwurst in your area of the country?

If I could just get my hands on some Ussingers brats I'd be in Food heaven!

Not in my area, but the famous Czech Stop gas station off of I35 about halfway between Dallas and Austin has a huge assortment of killer sausages.

Thanks, I have a friend that is a truck driver that gets through that area a lot. I'll ask him to stop in and throw some in the freezer in his truck cab and bring them the next time he passes through. ;)

Here is a great butcher shop, that makes their own bratwurst, knockwurst and about any other meat you can think of. If your friend is in the Chicago area I suggest you check them out as well.

I would have to say that any sausages that are made locally and available in ethnic markets. Cleveland's West Side market and Cincinnati's Findlay Market are prime examples - great sausage makers both places!

In Wisconsin local owned butcher shops make fabulous brats. Or try Klemments brand.
